Yes. The monthly price is all-inclusive and covers both the line rental and your data. You receive one single monthly bill.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET CONNECTED?
Fibre: 1–3 working days for activation (existing line) or 7–21 working days for a new installation.
LTE: Typically 2–5 working days for delivery and activation.
*Turnaround times are estimates and depend on the infrastructure provider in your area.
WILL I HAVE TO PAY A SETUP FEE?
Yes. Once-off installation or activation fees may apply depending on the network provider in your area. Beyond that, the monthly price is all-inclusive and covers both the line rental and your data.
CAN I UPGRADE, DOWNGRADE OR CANCEL AT ANY TIME?
Yes. You have the flexibility to change your plan as your needs evolve.
- Upgrades: Can be requested at any time and are processed quickly.
- Downgrades & Cancellations: Most packages require one full calendar month’s notice.
*Please check your specific contract for any “clawback” terms regarding free installation or hardware if cancelling early.
HOW IS FIBRE DIFFERENT FROM DSL?
Fibre is a modern technology that uses light to transmit data through glass cables, making it much faster and more reliable than DSL, which uses older copper telephone lines.
- Speed: Fibre is significantly faster for both downloads and uploads.
- Stability: Fibre is not affected by weather or electrical interference.
- Future-proof: Fibre handles high-definition streaming and gaming with ease.
DO YOU WANT FIBRE INTERNET, BUT STILL NEED A LANDLINE NUMBER?
Yes, you can keep your existing number. Through a process called porting, your landline number can be moved to a VoIP service that works over your Fibre line.
- Keep your current number (e.g., 011, 012, 021).
- Eliminate traditional copper line rental costs.
- Enjoy clearer call quality using your internet connection.
*Important: Do not cancel your old service until the porting process is complete to avoid losing your number.
HOW DO I PORT MY TELKOM VOICE LANDLINE TO ITECH VOICE?
Three steps to switch:
- Keep Telkom Active: Do not cancel, or you lose your number.
- Apply at ITech: Ask for a “Voice Porting Form.” Send them your ID and latest Telkom bill.
- Switch & Cancel: Once your new ITech phone works, call Telkom to cancel your line.
DO I STILL NEED TO PAY FOR MY LANDLINE NUMBER FROM TELKOM?
No, you do not need to continue paying for a traditional Telkom landline rental if you have Fibre.
In the past, ADSL internet required a copper phone line to function, which is why line rental was mandatory. Fibre works entirely differently—it uses light signals over glass cables—so it does not require a copper landline to operate.
CAN I GET A STATIC IP ADDRESS WITH FIBRE?
Yes, you can get a static IP address with Fibre.
- Request it: Ask your ISP (iTech) for a “Static IP” option.
- Cost: ISPs usually charge a small monthly fee for this service.
- Setup: They will provide you with the specific IP details to configure on your router.
